Opsy #32: Last call for Founding Membership

Opsy #32: Last call for Founding Membership

It's been almost a year since I started Opsy with a LinkedIn post, a podcast trailer, and all my fingers and toes crossed.

I started it because I wanted to connect with other operations pros who worked in tech—generalists who wore a lot of hats, and experts who know their niche inside and out. I wanted to explore how the field of operations is changing and create a space for us to network and learn from each other.

Thankfully, more than 500 of you wanted that too! And a good chunk of you even believed in it enough to become a Founding Member. 💜

I can't thank all of you enough for your support over the last year, and I'm excited to embark on year two with you, too. But, before we get to those shiny plans, I wanted to share one bit of news...

Founding Membership is closing its doors forever at the end of the month.

If you're already a member, thank you! You've locked in your current pricing forever and we're going to level up your perks over the next few months. 🚀

If you're not already a member and think you might want to be, you can upgrade until August 31st. ⚡

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

ICYMI

A new podcast ep dropped last week! 🎙️

Cristina Mendoza is an Operations Manager at the Obama Foundation who worked at some of tech's biggest unicorns before transitioning to nonprofit ops.

In this episode, we chat about:

  • Facilities, office management, and workplace operations—what they are, and where they overlap
  • How she broke into tech through operations
  • What it's like to be tasked with the "return to work plan" at an organization with hundreds of people, and how she thinks about safety in the face of subsequent Covid waves
  • The differences (and similarities!) between scaling a startup and scaling a nonprofit

... and so much more!

PS. Zapier is planning a great no-code panel for SWSX—and I'm super excited to be a panelist! Panels are chosen in part by an editorial committee and in part by audience vote. If you could take two minutes to sign up and vote here, I would very much appreciate it. 🙏🏻
